Mauritius is an extremely beautiful tropical island in the Indian Ocean, 1800 kilometers off the Eastern coast of Africa. It has 330 kilometers of sandy beaches, surrounded by one of the biggest coral reefs in the world, with over one thousand different kinds of fish. On the mainland, there is a central mountain range, 800 meters high.
Mauritius is a tropical dream land, with thousands of palm trees, spellbinding azure waters, endless beaches of powder-like white sands, sugar cane plantations and high mountains, all of which are combined with the laid-back way of life of the inhabitants, making it an idyllic vacation destination. Mauritius also has a wide variety of accommodations, ranging from large luxurious resorts to small secluded huts (that are ideal for honeymooners), which offer fun and recreation for all the family.
Diving is a very popular activity on the island and there are many highly trained professional and schools that provide lessons for all levels of diving expertise, from beginners to advanced (night diving, open-sea diving).
